Gaynor had just moved into a beautiful new-build property and wanted a contemporary focal point for her open-plan living area. The space was well-proportioned but fairly tight, so the solution needed to be stylish without being intrusive — a real design challenge in a modern, thermally efficient home.
OUR APPROACH
space planning
Worked with Gaynor to locate the ideal position — tucked against the wall with no tiling or remedial works needed behind the stove.
design & drawing
Produced a scale drawing to get proportions exactly right. Selected a cylindrical Scandinavian-style stove for its aesthetic and compact footprint.
hearth design
Specified a simple stone hearth with a curved front arc — clean and contemporary to complement the new-build interior.
